Covid-19 Update (November 2020)

To all of our valued customers.

As we enter into another Government lockdown R. J. Trevarthen Ltd. is working extremely hard to ensure that all of our customer’s and staff are kept safe and all production requirements are met. As we are on the Government’s list of Key Businesses as a Food Producer and Distributor and with the help of Statutory Bodies, Government support and advice and the resilience of our supply chain, we are continuing to provide the services that are required, to as many customers both established and new, as possible. We have introduced many COVID-19 safe procedures on site to reduce the risk of infection to our staff. Including limiting access to our sites, hand sanitising on entry to and exit from the building, strict social distancing between staff and visitors, a signed Covid health declaration when attending the premises and added PPE/ face coverings where required. Increased and enhanced hygiene practices which include regular sanitising of all hand touch area throughout the plant and more regular sanitising of food contact surfaces in all production areas.

Our drivers have all been trained in Covid Safe delivery and collection practices for their and your safety.
Obviously with the current situation and the daily changes to Government advice our staffing levels, stock availability and the supply of some products will be subject to change. This could impact on product availability, and delivery times. We would ask our customers to be as flexible as possible when placing orders and expecting deliveries. We will endeavour to keep good lines of communication open and will try to keep everyone informed of any changes. Our delivery drivers are very flexible and will leave your order in a place of your request as long as it does not risk food safety. It is imperative, both for the driver’s safety and yours, that the advice on social distancing is followed carefully. Delivery routes will be continuously monitored in an effort to reduce unnecessary travel.

We are working closely with our colleagues in the Food Standards Agency and together with them, we will maintain the highest standards of animal welfare. As well as keeping food safety and quality to the highest standards that you expect.
We would ask all of our customers, who do not have a credit account with us, to pay by card over the telephone, unless otherwise agreed, as we try to keep the handling of cash to a minimum.
We thank you all for your continued support and hope that you can continue keep yourselves safe.
